E.J. Onu

Texas Legends (G League)

A former high school track star in the 400 meter, standing at 6’11” with a 7’8.5” wingspan, E.J. has the enviable combination of superhero size and sprinter speed. He led Shawnee State to their first NAIA national championship in school history. Along the way, E.J. built out quite a trophy case: three-time conference Defensive Player of the Year and one-time national DPOY, NAIA All-American and Conference Player of the Year. Tailor-made for today's style of basketball, E.J. blocked an absurd 5.1 shots per game in his junior and senior seasons, while connecting on 3s at a 40 percent clip and shooting 57 percent from the floor in his senior year. Growing up, E.J. split time living in Cleveland, OH and Enugu, Nigeria. Now, his professional journey begins in Dallas.
